2. General
We take the protection of your personal data seriously and process it in accordance with the GDPR and German data protection law. We do not use analytics or tracking tools on this website and do not embed third-party content.
3. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by STRATO (Berlin, Germany). When you visit the site, the hosting provider processes technically necessary connection data, in particular the IP address of your device, and stores it in server log files. STRATO determines the type, scope and retention period of this processing. According to STRATO, IP addresses in the web server log files are stored for a maximum of seven days to detect and defend against attacks, and are then deleted. Details are in STRATO's privacy policy: https://www.strato.de/datenschutz/
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and error-free operation of the website). A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with STRATO.
4. Cookies
This website uses only technically necessary cookies, to the extent required to operate the site (§ 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not use cookies for analytics, tracking or advertising, and we do not use external tracking codes. Because only technically necessary cookies are used, no cookie consent banner is shown. You can restrict or delete cookies in your browser settings; some functions may then be limited.
5. Contact by email or phone
If you contact us by email or phone, we process your request and the personal data it contains (e.g. name, email address, content) to handle your enquiry. We do not pass it on without your consent. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where the enquiry relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We delete the request once it has been finally handled and no statutory retention duties apply (e.g. §§ 147 AO, 257 HGB). Email is handled by STRATO as email provider and processor. Email may not be fully protected against third-party access in transit.
6. Newsletter
To receive our newsletter we need your email address. You sign up via the form on our website. The address you enter is sent to us by email. We then send you a confirmation email, and your subscription becomes active once you confirm it (double opt-in). We use your data only to send the newsletter. We send it individually (no other recipient sees your address), do not use an external newsletter service and do not share your data with third parties. Emails are handled by STRATO as email provider and processor (see section 5).
Legal basis: your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 7(2) No. 3 UWG. You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future, e.g. by replying to any newsletter email or writing to the address above. After withdrawal we remove you from the mailing list. To prove consent and withdrawal, we keep your email address and the dates of confirmation and unsubscription for up to three years after the end of the year of withdrawal (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, defence against possible claims).
7. Social media and external links
Instagram: We maintain an Instagram profile (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., Merrion Road, Dublin 4, Ireland). Meta processes your data under its own policies when you visit it. For page insights we are joint controllers with Meta; we only receive aggregated, anonymised statistics. See https://privacycenter.instagram.com
TikTok: We maintain a TikTok business account. For users in the EEA, TikTok is operated by TikTok Technology Limited (10 Earlsfort Terrace, Dublin, D02 T380, Ireland) and TikTok Information Technologies UK Limited. When you visit our profile, TikTok processes your data under its own policies, even if you are not logged in, and may transfer it outside the EU/EEA. We have no influence on the type, scope or storage period of this processing. For the reach and interaction statistics of TikTok's analytics function, we are joint controllers with TikTok under Art. 26 GDPR, based on the Analytics Joint Controller Addendum. We receive only aggregated, anonymised reports. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in public relations and reach analysis). You can exercise your data subject rights directly with TikTok. See TikTok's privacy information.
External links: This website links to external sites. When you click a link, you leave our site and the provider's privacy policy applies. Merely visiting our website does not transmit data to these providers.
8. Storage period
Unless stated otherwise above, we store personal data until the purpose of processing ceases. Statutory retention duties remain unaffected.
9. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future; the lawfulness of processing carried out until then remains unaffected. Please contact us at the address above.
Right to object: Where we process your data based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then stop processing unless we demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, or the processing serves to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Right to lodge a complaint: You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement. Competent authorities are listed on the websites of the data protection authorities, for example that of the German Federal Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (www.bfdi.bund.de).
10. Status
As of October 2026. We update this policy when the legal situation or our offering changes.
